YakisobaScans, (nearly) Three Years Later

And at last, we got a new cover in 5 years.

I still can’t believe that it has, somehow been almost 3 years since I first started releasing chapters for this group. Back then I was really fond of the series, and since there were no releases for 2 years, I thought it’d be really wonderful if someone stepped up and continued the series from where the last group ended. And so I did, releasing chapters with a few issues along the way, but still releasing through the second half of 2018. I also ate more than what I could possibly bite, picked up more stuff along the way and joined MangaDex Scans.

2019 passed, and I consider the first half of it to be the best year of the group. I did my best to avoid delays and at one point was releasing a chapter nearly every 3 days, all within a “new chapter must be delivered every 5 days schedule”. If I only could keep it for the rest of the group’s life… But as the release of Volume 8 drew near, I started getting lazy and probably also having issues with the group.
But ultimately, I got it to release, and kept releasing chapters, although not as frequently as I used to. I also left MD Scans over a lack of releases for the title I was doing around this time, but honestly I don’t remember much anymore.

Then, 2020 happened. You’d think that a global pandemic would have made me more productive and finally give me the opportunity to catch up with Japan, right? Well, no. During the early months I was fine, but as the year passed, I started getting involved with other communities. After Chapter 115’s release, I tried to return to scanlation various times, sometimes with OK results, but more often than not ultimately not motivated to keep up.

I also realized how my life was going, and started to focus more on my studies and what I really wanted to do. Ultimately, I decided to focus on that in favor of scanlation.

It’s now 2021. I have realized that, if I want to preserve the Kill Me Baby series and see it get timely updates, then I probably am not the person who will eventually do it. I want to see such a thing being done, so ultimately I don’t mind passing the baton whether directly or indirectly to other, more capable persons.

Kudos to Kaduho, who was following me on Twitter at one point, all the people who worked with me on the scanlations at some point, Ooya-san, who gave me raws for a few chapters and everyone who has ever seen my releases, whether stumbled upon a meme of my panels or read them all multiple times.

Baby, please rest in peace. 2018-2021.

YakisobaScans To Only Focus On Kill Me Baby Starting Today

WAIT, WHAT?!

Bad news, I know.

Because I discovered that doing KMB alone is hard for me, let alone 3 different projects thanks to Corona-chan, Kisaragi, KiraFan, Pokemon Y, the lack of a translator and my own laziness.
And yes, that means we “dropped” Kagaku Chop and Ochifuru. “Dropped” becuase the original purpose of this group means we could return to doing Kagaku Chop once I stop being lazy.

Also, the Discord you all knew about is now going to be used for group stuff only. Instead, I’m totally-not-become-a sellout by promoting my personal Discord instead! Don’t worry, it has KMB discussion as well.

The End.

Kill Me Baby Updates: Volume 7 Batch will include a lot of fixes.

Recently, Yakisoba LLC CEO Yakisoba Udon has mourned the loss of longtime translator Bladeweaver, kickstarting a new era for the YakisobaScans branch. The company is currently searching a new translator for the series.

Meanwhile, Yakisoba has confirmed that she’ll make the Volume 7 batch as polished as possible, work on Volume 8 as soon as the group gets a translator and continue remaking the older chapters. “We won’t give up, even if we lost a comrade of us; because it’s our job to scanlate obscure yonkoma manga for the greater good.”

Blog Post #6: Enjoying Manga The Right Way (aka. KillManga – KissManga Diss Track by Yakisoba)

If this was 2010, I would be fine with people reading my stuff in One Manga, as there was no such thing as Batoto (back in 2011-17, when everyone liked them, then MangaWindow bought the domain and ruined everything). But this is 2018, and Kissmanga is thrash when compared to the superior MangaDex.

Blog: Yakisoba and MangaDex Scans

Sensei is 2nd, but this picture is beautiful nonetheless.

Hello everybody, it’s Yakisoba.
Today I want to make the announcement that I have officially joined MangaDex Scans!

My roles are everything other than Translator, but I’m mostly a typesetter. I’ll work on Denki-gai no Honya-san as my main project as it was pretty much the first title in the available projects list that I was truly interested on.

I ‘ll post the releases here too so remember that!

-Yakisoba, who has already watched the first 2 episodes of the anime.

P.D: Hiotan is best and this may or may not cause delays on KMB and KGK.B

Blog Post #1: Something Came in the Mail Today…

Hello everybody, I’m Yakisoba and welcome to this blog post!

Honestly, I wanted to do a unboxing post, but today, finally, I got my Amazon package! Yay!

The reason why it’s here instead of KanaeruChop is because it has to do with KMB and Kagaku. Simple and easy!

But anyways, now onto the story:
